It has been suggested that I have too much testosterone which causes me to get cycstic acne on my chin and neck and I have started getting irritating peach fuzz and I thought maybe the acne was ingrown hair. I had been prescribed aldactone in the past but did not take it as I should have and currently I am experiencing a bad break out and would love to know that this is a viable solution. Please post any success you have experienced with the reduction of cyctic acne by taking aldactone (along with any other drugs prescribed for the problem) and how long it took to start seeing results.
: I just started taking spironolactone for hirsutism, and my doctor has proscribed 200mg a day. He did however, tell me to gradually work up to 200mg. I started out with 50mg a day and then will work my way up to 200mg by the end of the first month. the drug has been shown to cause upset stomach in some people. so, maybe you should check with your doctor. Good luck!
