AMYH......would love to talk to you...considering going on spiro! Please email me! carey&kelley@citlink.net !!
I am a 28 year old female who had mild acne breakouts as a teen...nothing really started until I was 18 or so! After having my first child...about a year later I started having what I considered to be severe cystic acne that wasn't controlled by anything! topical, birth control pills, peels, antibiotics, etc! I did accutane and loved it! Totally clear! Second child came and once again... severe cystic acne followed about a year later! I have just stopped accutane for the second time with a perfect complexion! I am going back to the dr. for my last blood draw this week and am considering started spiro as a maintenance thing and really nervous about if I should do it or not or just wait until I have a problem again! I have also noticed some body oder and have heard this might help that! I have never had hormone levels drawn and don't have a clue if they are high or not! I am taking ortho cyclen which wasnt' very helpful in clearing up the acne before but I just stay on it thinking that it would be worse without it! ANy suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to break out again! It has been very hard on me emotionally, socially, and psychologically! thanks
