Even my story started when I began to drink milk more than I used to; I realize now that I'd not have done that.
I won't narrate my whole story because I've done it more than once on this messageboard.
Good luck on your non-dairy trial.
: With all this talk about not drinking milk or eating dairy products, I looked back at my 'acne history'. Whether this is coincidence or not, I do not know. This might seem oversimplified, and I'm not saying that drinking milk is the only reason for my acne.
: I drank milk like any normal child did. In grade 7 til 9 I had moderate acne (mostly LOTS of whiteheads). In any case, looking back, I swear to you guys, starting probably grade 9 all the way to grade 13 (I live in Ontario where we have this extra year) I drank probably one glass of milk a year because I despised the taste. Oh, the rebel was I! heheh...in any case, throughout high school I had great skin, oily, prone to the occasional whitehead, nothing serious. Before I left for university, I had the privelige of working at an ICECREAM parlour! ha! Needless to say, I ate a lot of it. Anyway, beginning that siummer, my face began to get progressively worse. Not only that, when school started, I began to drink 2 glasses of skim milk everyday for fear of osteoporosis, etc... Anyway, all of first year I hid in my room because I had AWFUL skin, cysts and all.
: In any case, recalling all of this, I think I will try to cut dairy completely out of my diet and see what the results are. Again, I'm sure hormones, genetics play a large part in my acne, but you never know. Its' a crazy coincidence isn't it?!
