When I read the report and all of the B-5 postings on this and another message board, I figured Pantothenic Acid was legit. One concern I have is that the report doesn't seem very well documented and therefore not very scientific, but I do find the reasoning in the report attractive.

I've been trying 6 grams(12 500mg pills a day) for 5 days and I haven't noticed anything dramatic. I was coming off of a bad flair-up right when I started, so its hard to tell if there has been any improvement as a result of the b-5, but I think I have noticed that my skin is a little less oily(although this may or may not be a result of the b-5.

It's really too early to tell what the benefits are for me, but some of the complaints I have are that you have to take a lot of it according to what has been recommended. When I take my 1.5 grams (four times a day), I notice that I get a slight headache and get a little light headed. I do try to take it with food and this helps a little.

I also take 5mg Zinc 1,000 mg MSM and A, C, and E, along with Anti-biotics. So it could be that I'm taking too many damn pills and nothing to do with the B-5, but the light headedness and headaches didn't start till the B-5 regimen.

Anyway, long story short...that's my story. Many others claim to have had a great deal of success with B-5. Usually they take 5 to 8 mg for about 2 months(with noticeable improvement in the first couple weeks) and then they taper down to a 2 mg maintenance dose.
