Here's a quick question - how is the lighting at school and work? I bet you have nice, soft, warm, flattering lighting in your bathroom at home, that makes you look all nice and glowing and cute, but at work and school they have the horrible fluorescent lighting that makes you look sallow and covered in red marks! I avoid looking at myself in mirrors when there is bad lighting!
