In Reply to: Whats the best makeup to try for acne prone skin? posted by alex on November 07, 2000 at 19:03:29:

I worked for a dermatologist for several years and have worked with several chemists in the past and I can tell you for sure that you want to stay away from any products contaning fragrance, oil or fatty acids..some products that have been PROVEN to be LESS LIKLEY to irritate or clog pores are
certain ones from Almay,Maybellene and Revlon, look for products WITHOUT ingredients like lanolin, isopropyl myristate and sodium lauryl sulfate and for sure STAY AWAY from all products made by Cover Girl, if you notice the ingredients list they have several pore clogging ingredients even though the packaging says "non-acnegenic" which is a lie and not a medically recognized statment, anyway I hope you find this information interesting and informative, I hope this will help you avoid the mistakes that thousands of women with acne prone skin have made from misleading packaging and advertising. : hey...I want to buy new makeup and currently I wear percriptives but I dont want to pay that much b/c it didnt really help..I think I broke out worse..so I just wanted some ideas of some make ups u guys really liked or disliked..what worked and what didnt! Thanx
