: Can someone please tell me the difference between Vitamin A and Beta Carotene? and is it better too use vit. a from fish liver oil or whatever
: Thank yOu
beta carotene is water soluble and a provitamin A, meaning simply the body converts it into vitamin a inside your body. Cod liver oil usually causes breakouts because its well, oily (grin). Your best bet is to eat lots of carrots and eggs. Eggs have pantothenic acid (vit B5) which helps with acne, and eggs also have vitamin A. You may notice a slight flare up at the beginning, but you might start to clear up remarkably if you take high amounts of beta carotene (120,000 IU) per day with 90mg zinc and a B complex vitamin.
