:Hi Renee! Yeah I am having wonderful results with what I'm doing right now! I have never been happier, I still have a few tiny faint red marks on my cheeks but I know with a little more time they will fade completely, so I'm really excited. Here's what I do
Morning: I wash with Cetaphil cleanser and apply cetaphil lotion. About 15 min or 1/2 hr later I apply azelaic acid. Then I apply my makeup and spray Aubrey Organic's "Sparkling Mineral Water Herbal Complexion Mist" over my makeup because it makes it look nicer. I got it at a health food store but they have a website.
Night: I use St Ives Extra Mild Apricot Scrub and then Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner (I absolutely love both of these products) Then a few minutes later I apply moisturizer and right before bed I put on the azelaic acid.
I've been off accutane almost 2 weeks now and it seems like my skin isn't quite so fragile so I've been using an AHA BHA mask once a week and a 15% at home glycolic acid peel once a week. My skin handles it just fine.
I would definately recommend this routine after accutane, if you want to try some of the things now just be careful, like maybe only use the Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner every other night with a gentle (like cetaphil soap) and the Scrub the other nights. That's what I was doing towards the end of my accutane course. The azelaic acid I was using morning and night everyday with no problem, but some people get red and itchy with it, so see how your skin reacts to it. I really like every product I'm using, I feel like they are all helping and the azelaic acid is awesome. I'm still taking my vitamins too.
Well if you have any other questions just ask! You can also email me anytime at email@example.com.
Good luck Renee!
You posted a couple of weeks ago about your red mark routine. i am wondering what has changed about it since using Azelax acid? You said you are having wonderful results, so i am going to try it. Do you have any pointer?
: Thanks, Renee :)
