: : I am a 32 year old male who has been suffering with acne for 17 years. I have been to numerous dermatolgists and have tried just about every treatment known...oral and topical. I took Accutane once, cleared up perfectly, then it all started again a couple months after I stopped. I was finally referred to a medical university in my state to THEE "doctor of last resort". This doctor reviewed my history, examined me, and recommended Accutane again. READ THIS NEXT STATEMENT CAREFULLY. He said Accutane will ONLY work permanently IF you take at least 1 mg per kilogram of body weight per day for a minimum of 5 months. If you do any less than this you are wasting your time and money and will get only temporary results. If you are determined to try Accutane please follow what I have said REGARDLESS of what you doctor says. If you DO NOT want to take Accutane (as I didn't) FOLLOW THIS...I came across this the day before my Accutane prescription was to be filled. IT WORKS!!! I am in no way associated with this site. I couldn't believe the results. The website is www.acneregimen.com. I did not take Accutane again and this treatment worked better than any medication I had ever been prescribed. I am using the treatment now. Again...www.acneregimen.com All items are available at your local pharmacy or Wal-Mart and are inexpensive. If this will work for you, you'll know it within 7 to 10 days. My skin was clear within 10 days. I still get a pimple once in awhile, but no one would suspect I have a chronic acne problem. Please try it you have nothing to lose. I will check back on this board to respond to any questions. Good Luck!
: My daughter weighs 128 and takes 60 mg. per day. Is this high enough? I would be happy to learn what you think.
According to my doctor your daughter is on the proper dose as long as she takes it for at least 5 months. Some doctors say 3 to 4 months is enough. My doctor strongly disagrees. Some patients have to repeat even at the proper dose depending on the severity of their acne, but your daughters odds are greatly increased by taking the correct dose the first time. Good luck!
