If your skin is dry, you shouldn't be going back to the sink and rinsing your face with water and letting it dry that often.. That will only make the dryness worse. You should only wash your face about twice a day, because if you overwash, then your skin produces excess oils. Acne isn't only from oily skin to begin with, the oils surface if you wash too much... so moisturize after you wash in the morning, and at night.

: : Hi guys, about 1 year ago I decided to try Proactiv, i used it on and off for about 2 months and then decided i didnt really like it, well lately ive been having moisture problems, my face has been very dry, no help from the cold weather. well for the past couple of days ive been using the "toner" from the proactiv set to moisturize my face. Well I decided to give the whole system a go, every day, only because the dryness is so bad now I have to spend about 45 mins going back and forth to the sink to pat my face with water, and I do this about 10-15 times. wetting, letting it dry or whatever, then going back, and wetting it again. this dry skin seems to make me very 'touchy', if any of you can relate to that. anyway, i decided to use the whole system this morning, and I have to tell you, it was not only refreshing, but it also moisturized my skin. now, i do have a very extensive acne medication history, nothing really worked, belive me, ive used EVERYTHING but accutane, and Im hopeing to dont have to go that route, and this Proactiv seems like a pleasant change. well if anyone has any advice please help me out, is proactiv good to get back on? also pardon my sloppy typing! anyway, yea any responses would be nice, this is really depressing, you can read my other post from about a week ago, so you know whats going on, thank you.

: I was on proactive for 2 years with response, but then my skin got worse, now I am on accutane. I will start starting dec 1st, so I will post my progress later. In the meantime, if you are having dry skin with proactive, definetly use a moisturizer with sunscreen. The moisturizer I would sugg. would be neutrogena oily free with spf 15 moisturizer. I works very well for dry skin, esp in the winter months. Put the moisturizer on right after you put on toner, on top of the proactive acne solution if you like.
