Well, if differin cream is anything like retin-A cream (which it is, of course), there is a big difference....

Retin-A cream was found to be comedogenic, in other words, pore clogging. Not good. The gel, on the other hand, does not clog your pores. I read once that the inventor of Retin-A was appalled that it was being distributed in cream form because of its comedogenic nature; it was originally only meant to be in gel form.

Anyway, I don't have any hard evidence off hand or anything, but if it were me, I wouldn't get within 10 yards of that cream...
