In Reply to: Shaving and Acne? HOW HOW HOW???? posted by KH on December 05, 2000 at 21:25:30:

Hi
I shave about 4-5 times a week and i have learned the best method is to either use a Gillette Sensor Excell razor or a (Good) Electric Shaver. I was using a Electric Shaver and it was burning my neck, so I decided to start using a Gillette Mach 3 and although i got a good clean shave it was cutting my acne and actually worsening some of the pimples. I decided to buy a razer that was made for sensitive skin, and the Sensor Excell is what i found - this razer is made for people who have acne or other skin problems. As far as electric shavers go, some of them left me with a rash on my neck, so i recently bought a more expensive one, Phillishave Quad action and this one does not burn my neck at all. Also, before and after i shave i apply warm water on my face.
