I suggest you check out local hospitals. Many now have a multidisclipinary team that evaluates children for ADD and other developmental disorders. You son may have ADD, another disorder with similar symptoms or both. You are absolutely right to seek correct diagnosis and much can be done to manage the disorder once you know what it is and can assess its severity. Knute.
