: I have a 15 year old son that was diagnosed 5-6 years ago with ADHD. At that time he was placed on ritilin. His father made him take it on weekends, holidays, and during the summer, and now he is immune to it. They now want him to take prozac because he is having such a hard time with school and life in general. Has anyone seen the effects of prozac personally. I would like someones personal opinion, not heresay, I've heard all of the heresay. All of the doctors say that it won't hurt him, but other people say it will.

My son is 15 also and has also taken ritalin since first grade. He has been off ritalin since summer and has taken zoloft and prozac for his ADD. He couldn't tell any change with zoloft but he prefers the prozac. He has taken prozac for 3 weeks now and feels that he is attending better in school.
