My daughter was put on Ritalin and Addrerall. My choice would be not to go with the ritalin. When my daughter was on it, it made her very moody and very irritable. Also, you need to medicate 2-3 times a day. With addrerall, you only need to medicate once as the effects last as long as 8 hours. Adderall does have it's drawbacks too though. Every child is different, but with mine, it kind of turned her into a zombie.
