You are most welcome Karen. I never was on medications Karen, I was in a school for those with learning disabilities for
three years. I never really caught on to what was going on with me until I lost a job when I was 26.
I knew something wasn't right, but I couldn't pinpoint it. Between the cost of the meds and my dad especially not wanting to
deal with the fact that I had a problem, I never came close to taking meds fo ADD. There were points wher I could have
ended up taking meds for clinical depression or the intense stress I was under. After I lost that job, I did talk about meds
with a psychologist. As for Ritalin, it's one of many drugs that help people with ADD, it might be disatrous for you. I dbout I
can take it since I keep showing borderline high bloodpressure, and stimulants are the last thing you want if you even think
you have hypertension. If you have any other health problems or are taking other meds, you would probably have to inform
you doctor and plan around that. I don't know what screening process one would have to undergo to get Ritalin prescribed, I
would make contact with a specialist who treats people with ADD and work through him or her.
