I am also a female taking Effexor SR (sustained release) and Ritalin together. I have had no complications with these two meds together. The Effexor-SR is slowly released throughout the day, so I don't have the aggression that I noticed on just straigth Effexor. The only side effects I noticed were severe aggression and angry mood swings with nausea for the first 2-3 weeks. My doctor told me to hang tight and see if it passed and sure enough thank goodness - they did. I have been taking these two medications together for about a year and have noticed no problems with the combination other than a low appetite and decreased sexual drive. You may want this for your daughter, but I am a grown adult woman in her 30's.
