In Reply to: MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FOR ADULT ADD TREATMENT? posted by Carey on January 03, 2000 at 11:23:42:

: I am a 41 year old divorced female living in PA who was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder four years ago.
: In the beginning when I could afford it, I received treatment. I have not been able to afford treatment for the last year and I'm worried that my disability is going to cost me my job if I don't get treatment again. Do you know where I could find information about medical assistance so that I can get help again? Any information would be gratefully accepted.

Your first stop should be to check out the american disabilties act. Secondly contact the clinic where you were recieving treatment and see if they don't offer some arrangements for those who have difficulty with payments. A third and important option is to check with you counties social services and see what they can offer for assistance. Good luck
