I have a 12 year old daughter with moderate-severe ADD, on adderol and clonidine, as well as depakote for mood stabilization. She can't seem to get anything accomplished; will sit in her room and read magazines or listen to music instead of doing homework, going to bed on time, etc. I end up nagging to get things done, but it doesn't help. She has been late to school so often (because she doesn't get up and get ready, so she misses the bus) it's interfering with her work... Checklists just get ignored, she hasn't watched TV in weeks, I just took her off the basketball team (doesn't get ready for the games, so she ends up missing them).
Does anyone out there have any suggestions which may actually work, and possibly help instead of hinder her self esteem?
