: Have not posted here before, hope I am doing it right. I am interested in SID and it's relationship to/or relevancy to ADHD. My son has just been diagnosed with ADHD and with many reservations, we have decided on a low-dose of Ritalin. My mother in law is an OT and wants to start SI therapy with Eric. How do you find out more about SID. I have searched the web and come up with very few USEFUL sites??? Please give me any info you can. Thanks. Liz

Hi Liz! So happy to meet you. I have a 6 year old son who has been diagnosed with both ADHD and S.I. Dysfunction. Both conditions seem to respond to ritalin...but the S.I. does so less than the symptoms of ADHD. My son has a hard time getting out the door every morning due to S.I....
The hair, the socks, the shoes, the underwear, the belt, Etc, etc, etc....nothing feels right to him and his frustration level is very high. He will begin therapy with an O.T. very soon here...I'm praying for good results...this poor kid can barely make through a day...Not to mention the strain it has had on the rest of us! I don't work outside the home...care to wager why?
please E-mail me if yo like...I think we could help each other.
