Our son, age 14, had been in alot of trouble recently in school, suspended 4 times and has terrible grades( d & f ) but all test scores are in the 90+ percentile. We had no help from the school system. They said any test they did for us could only result in a label of learning disabled or emotionall disturbed! We finally had to have him tested by a private pschhologist (out of out pocket). Her interviews, written, and computerized test revealed his ADD issue.
Today he had his 1st dose of Adderall. The only side effect we saw was a slight headache, hopefully this won't be a recurring side effect.
My understanding is that Adderall is the first drug of choice for children with ADD. I would be interested in hearing how it works for the rest of you.
