I have an 8 year old boy who is currently on Ritalin. 10mg AM, 5mg NOON, 5mg at 4PM. My husband and I
are pleased with the results however we worry about the long term side affects. We recently tried lowering
his dosage to 5-5-5 because he was doing so well but he started struggling immensly as soon as we
did that. I'm wondering if anyone has had success with another non-medication method for ADD after having been
on Ritalin? How can we switch from medication to non? The only diet restrictions he has right now is soy and
rye due to food allergies. He has been tested for allergies and everything else checked out ok.
Can anybody help?
