: Hello, I'm doing a research paper on Ritalin. I have not decided which way I will favor: for or against the use of Ritalin as a way of controlling ADD and other disorders. I would appreciate some input from those that feel strongly on one side of the issue or the other.
: Thanks.

I liken the need for Ritalin to someone who needs treatment for diabetes. Ask yourself this......If your child had diabetes would you deny them the treatment they need simply because you don't think kids should be drugged. Now you do have to realize that I applaud those people who have found alternative things that work for their ADD children. In my case I have not come across anything yet and feel that my child deserves every chance I can give him to help him with his ADD. I do not feel though that Ritalin should be THE drug for ADD. Whatever drug or alternative that works for your particular child is what should be used. Hope this helps you.
