My 8 year old son has been on adderrall (2.5) for 4 days now. Although he has not been seen by a psychologist for testing yet (appt in March) his pediatrician highly suggested we start medication based on his school records. I am not sure whether I am see good or bad results. He has not shown any signs of insomnia, however he does seem "wired". Is this normal and will it go away? I spoke with the doctor on Friday and he said to continue this dose through Monday and on Tuesday increase it to 5 mg. I am not sure if this is the right thing to do. I am struggling with whether I should have waited to have him tested in March before starting meds. Any suggestions, ideas, words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Tina
