: Has anyone ever tried visual therapy for thier child? It is being reccomended to me and I do not know anything about it.
: Thanks Sue

i haven't tried vision therapy for my son with adhd and odd because with medication his grades are right on track and he is doning well at school however, it was recommended to me for my oldest son who has a learning disability.i was trying to get him help because when he reads his eyes don't track the words smoothly they seem to bounce to the next word or even the sentence under it. we went to an eye specialist and was told he could really benefit from this type of therapy that teaches the eyes to work together smoothly.but most insurance companies wiill not pay for this i have appealed three times now and even got his learning suport teacher to write a letter on our behalf. we are waiting for the final word from the insurance. i know of three kids who have had this therapy it really helped two of them and the other is still doing the therapy. any thing that will help your child is worth looking into. check into some providers in your area. good luck
