: Something has to be done to make schools treat add/adhd kids in a better way. What can we do to make them listen? They get in trouble for their impulses that they cannot help. I know you all know the whole story. What can we do?

I have a child who had many ADD behaviors. I have worked with him over the last few years. I have found the final piece to his puzzle. It has to do with multiple allergies (wheat, dairy, sugar, oranges, and vinegar to name a few) By working with him in behavior modification and changing his diet, he has become a different child. I am currently homeschooling him and this is how I was able to work with him so closely. I am talking to different people here in Albuquerque about the need for a Charter School for these children. They need to be in a safe environment where they can learn about themselves. I am working with other ADD children, and they all show allergy symptoms, but most of what they are allegic to is being given to them on a daily basis within the mainstream school system.
