: I am 18, in college, and recently diagnosed with ADHD. I was put on Adderall, but found it interfered with my allergy medication (Claritin). I will see the doctor this week to change the allergy medication, but I am also wondering if Adderall or Ritalin would be right for me.

~~You wonder if Adderall is right for you. With a different allergy medicine, it could be right for you provided that there are no harmful interactions. Even then, it might not work well for you since individual responses to any one drug are varied. You should also ask your doctor about any over-the-counter drug interactions (or a pharmacist) since these can disrupt the normal action of Adderall. Ritalin has a proven record of success but similar precautions exist.~~~
