I have a 10 year old boy, who has always been very active and aggressive since he was a toddler.he is highly intelligent, easily bored, and strong willed. Very sensitive and takes things the wrong way sometimes. If things didn't go his way, he would get really frustrated and throw terrible fits. His doc diagnosed him with ADHD,and childhood bi-polar (because of the mood swings). We put him on Adderall for his ADHD, and it seems to be working pretty good, and he is on Risperdal ( a mood stabilizer). However, I have been reading stuff on how dangerous these drugs, including Ritalin, are on children. I would love to hear any information or advice you have on these medicines. He is doing better, and I'm glad about that. He is a great kid. I read where one 12 year old boy had a heart attack on Ritalin, so that is really scary.
