My insurance states that i have to go my preferred physician (local family practicioner) first and be referred to a specialist. My whole life is a blur. I am 32 now and my life was out of control up until 2 weeks ago when my local dr. started me on dexedrine. Since then I have gone from foggy days to mostly cloudy with the sun breaking through once or twice. I see it working and I cant wait until sunshine days. My question is who is the more qualified to diagnose Adult ADD and depression? Neurologist (covered under medical plan) or medical psycologist (not covered). The drummer in my band was diagnosed by a neurologist who prescribed dexedrine for him also. I need help.
