Two weeks ago I was diagnosed by my primary physician as having Adult ADD. I went to him after symptoms got so bad that i felt like i was insane. He has me on dexedrine, and the fog i walked through daily is now overcast skies. It is 200 times better, but i still have major problems. I know I am on the way to sunny days, but here is my question . . .
My insurance requires to go through my primary physician to refer me to a specialist as medically necessary. He has, but he wants to send me to a medical psycologist who deals with ADD in adults. The drummer in my band was diagnosed with ADD through a neurologis and is on dexedrine also. What is your opinion? Neurologist or medical psycologis? I also deal with hardcore depression and anxiety attacks.
