I took cylert for one year and it worked for about four months. after that I began taking more than prescribed and that was a bad idea. I began having psychotic episodes and acting irratic, so much so that it was difficult to hide my behavior. Just be careful with it. Now I take Ritalin, which works very well for me and doesn't create the craving for more that Cylert did. I just take it as prescribed and my add symptoms are very much in control now. Good luck.
: I was just diagnosed with ADD at 46 years of age.
: (better late than never!) The psych prescribed Provigil
: which gave me nosebleeds, a stiff neck, flushed skin,
: and no benefits after 2+weeks. Now he prescribed Cylert
: which sounds very scary according to the FDA warnings
: concerning liver damage. Should I request Adderall
: instead? Has anyone had any REAL benefits using
: Pycnogenol or Attend (made by Vaxa)?
: Thanks for any input, John.
