Hello. My 11 year old son who lives with his father (long story) was diagnosed last year with ADD after
my son's teacher and I forced the issue with his father. His father was ignoring the problem and allowing
my son to flounder in school. It has been very difficult to get any information out of my ex regarding my son.
I just recently found out that they are indeed medicating my son when his
father last told me they were not. Here's the situation: my son is flunking 5 th grade and his father is
doing nothing about it but punishing him "until his grades improve". I am suing again for custody this
summer to get my son here with me so he can get the help he needs. Where can I find documentation
about ADD from diagnosis to treatment that I may present to the court? I've tried a few search engines
and came up empty handed. I'm looking for an outline of how this is diagnosed and specifically what the
parents responsibility is to help their child improve. I am so worried about my son - his self esteem is
nill and he thinks he "just stupid" when I know he's not. Please reply either here or to my
emai:l firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for all your help.
