I have a 7 year old step-daughter. Her mother claimes that she has ADHD, and wanted her on meds. She took my step-daughter to 3 different docs until one gave her adderall. My step-daughter takes 5mgs in the am and 5mgs at lunch time.(This dosage was doubled since first being put on it only a few weeks ago.)
When she comes over after school she is weepy and has mood swings, not the loveable little girl from a few months ago.
My husband and I have told her mother that this med. is not good for her, that she does not need it, but to no avail.
Also my step-daughter is one the oldest in her class, because of her birthday, but she is also the smallest, height and weight wise. Should this be another concern of ours?
We are at a loss as to what to do.
