: I currently take Effexor to treat my ADD. I'm 36 and was diagnosed 6 years ago. I went to a new doctor yesterday for an evaluation and he is going to try me on Provigil. He says its the best and newest drug for adult ADD. Does anyone have any information on this or any experience with Provigil being used for ADD.

: Thanks,

Toad,

Provigil is used extensively in Narcolepsy. I hear it is like other drugs, but without the narcotic effect. There is an internet support group for Narcolepsy that meets weekly http://talkaboutsleep.com. Bet you can find answers there. A lot of provigil users and they can fill you in on side effects.

Also Cephalon, the manufacturer, has an info site ay http://www.provigil.com.

Hope these help.

Bill
