I am taking just one 18 mg concerta tablet in the morning and I am thinking of doubling it tomorrow.
For years I was on Ritalin SR in the morning and a 10 Mg tablet in the afternoon. That worked OK but was inconsistent.
Then for awhile I tried Adderall, which everyone raves about. But that drug just had too many side effects for me, made me angry, though I am wondering if I ever had the right dosage;
the doctor started me out kind of high.
Now I am taking Concerta and I don't see any positive effect until hours after I take it. I am also finding that I am more afraid of social situations than I was on any of the previous drugs.
Stay in touch, and let me know what happens with the concerta. Yes, it is ridiculously expensive. Doctors seem impressed with the fact that you only have to take it once a day, but if it means paying twice the amount you did for your other medicine, who cares? With kids it may be different, but I don't consider taking a lunch time dose all that inconvenient.
Anyway, let me know what happens.
P.S. Have you ever tried adderall?
