: Thank you all for your insight into ADD. Since my initial posting, I have contacted Rob's school and they are looking into physical & occupation therapy for him to refine his gross and fine motor skills. Hopefully this will help. We were never offered this by his schools, but hopefully they will come up with a solution. Rob is a tall kid, (6 feet already!) but it goes far beyond the regular "awkward stage" teenagers go through. Other children laugh at how he runs, taking little tiny steps in almost a running/skipping manner. He wants desperately to be involved with sports, but as I said the lack of coordination not only frustrates other children, but himself. Thank you all for your help! Karen

Good luck with the therapy and everything. I will be interested in knowing how things turn out and what helped him the best. If you have time and want to, you can email me--dknight2@uswest.net. I have thought about getting my son into some sort of physical therapy. He walks and runs rigidly and doesn't swing his arms. I know how cruel kids can be. Last year when I picked him up from school, he got into the car and said that he walks like a girl. He was only 6 at the time.

Rob is lucky that he has you. I can tell that you love him and are deeply concerned for his wellfare. Good luck in your endeavors. Denise
