: My wife and I are concerned that our 7 yr-old may have Add. Who do we consult and are there any diet related ideas we can try. We have been told so many things by so many people. We are really confused. Should we try removing sugar from his diet? We really need good advice by people that have faced the same thing.
: Thank you.

Contact your regular doctor or pediatrician and ask for a referal to the nearest clinic that tests for ADD. Once tested you will have a clear cut idea as to just what it is that your son does or doesn't have. Removing sugar from his diet serves no usful purpose unless he gets in excess. Sugar does not cause ADD nor make it worse. Once tested you and the doctors can decide what is the best way to handle your son. Good Luck.
