There are many adults who have ADD and are very responsive to treatment, but the first step is to confirm that diagnosis. I can tell you as a parent that our daughter who is an ADD child was diagnosed with at least a dozen other problems before the real culprit was found. Although many doctors and other professionals are aware of ADD a correct diagnosis really needs to come from someone specializing in ADD.
