I take spansules.
dont know the specifics, but i take 20mg and about 1/2 hour later i can feel it and then thoughout the day i get little blasts of energy. it stops for me around 4pm (i take it at 9am) and my doc switched me to concerta because it lasts longer and it more dependable than ritalin extended release.
the spansule's benefit is that is allows for once a day dosing so you dont have to take another one mid day. it just releases it continually. so taking 20 as opposed to 10 just releases more in the "bursts" you get throughout the day.

: If you take 10mg spansule; is it stronger to span the 12 hrs. or does it release 5mg at one time and later another 5mg. . Maybe i am off completely here does anyone have any info on this?
