:In support of the parent with a child with ADHD, Please take anything you may read with a grain of salt. Not everyone truly knows what it is like for us to have such demanding, inexplicable behaviors in our child. It took me 2+ years to get to the point of medication. I don't feel guilty. We are heavily involved with behavior modification and we still use medication. I cannot answer to this Concerta. I know we had gone through many medications, with mild to severe side effects. The choice is yours......what is more important......your child's attention/future? or misgivings of medication. find out as much as you can about the medication. keep writing to get other parents opinions, and advice. do not give up... My 7 year old son was just diagnosed with ADHD... The doctor put him on Concerta, because of the long lasting effects of the drug... Can someone please tell me what I can expect from him now that he is on this?? I have thought for at least a year that he has ADHD... I am glad that he can finally get some help, but I am still wondering what to expect... Any help will be greatly appreciated....
