: Just wondering why everyone does medication for ADD? Is this the only the to do? I am seeing an
: environmental doctor and he said drugs is the last resort. So we are doing test (blood, urine, hair etc.)
: We found out my child had many food allergies and when I started eliminating them she is no longer
: hyper at all. Now we still have the problem with concentration but next he is going to have us try
: some supplements (that are healthy and no side effects). Just wondering why no one else does this?
First of all, that is quite a large assumption that everyone else does " do it"
We had all the "testing" done too
with no results.....nothing unusual showed up in any of the tests, exceptions were in the school testings
We also have gone the no sugar, gluten wheat, etc....just in case........with no better results either.
We also have tried the "herbal alternatives" that claim to work....Maybe they do for some.....Not for my son..
It it heart-breaking to think of all the times I and my husband have toiled with the medication issues to the point
of "maybe he would be better off in a hospital or treatment center" .....you cannot possibly imagine how bad it reaaly
is.......family just doesn't understand......people you thought were your friends......don't want to know about your kids
Try and be a bit more understanding for those of us who fight every day and night to get thru the 24hrs. and to begin
again........one more day........
If you find something that works for your child GREAT!
Not all of us are so lucky.
Everyones system accepts both natural remedies and medications quite differently.
I wish you the best of luck in your venture.
