: Hi my name is Dane and i am 13 and currently taking adderral for ADHD and imipramine to counteract the adderral as an anti depressant and I was wondering what I can do to help me sleep better because the adderral is affecting my sleep and appettite
Hello, my name is Louis I'm 22 and I take adderral for my studies at Temple University. I was diagnosed w/ ADD when I was in ninth grade but my mother would not let me take it because she didn't like that fact that it was a drug. When I got to college I started doing some research and found out that there were alot of students taken this drug. To make a long story short I tried it out just to see its effects. It helped...but..remember, drugs lead to other drugs. One of the bad things that i've noticed is that, after a while one starts to depend on this drug, before you know it you're taken more than prescribed soon you'll need something to help you sleep. I'm not saying that you're taken more than prescribed, because this drug itself makes it hard to fall asleep. Try not to fall in this hole. I take it for school because it helps me pay attention. You were created the way you are for a reason, don't try to change yourself to suit others. There is nothing wrong with ADD. What I do so I won't depend on the drug, I try to take it in moderation. Stop taking it for alittle while just so that YOU can see and determine for yourself if you like it or not. You will also be able to find out for yourself what effects it has on you when your on it and when you're not on it. So to answer your question..NO I don't think you should take any drugs to help you sleep, you will only depend on that drug in the future. Try to take adderral a little earlier in the day.
