: : Hi Everyone,

: : Just wanted to say this about ADD. most kids who have this. Need more sleep, yes sleep is the answer. Just try butting them to bed sooner. It will make a big difference

: That is easier said than done! I can put my son to bed at 9:30 and he can still be awake at 11 or 12! What can you do to MAKE a child sleep???
: It is frustrating for both the child and the parent. I wish so often I can help my son get more sleep. We try warm milk and honey deal, etc. and sometimes that works but not sure if it's just a coincidence or what!
: anyone have any ideas?

My daughter was diagnosed MANY years ago with ADHD.And is now only eleven years old, and we're still having problems getting her to sleep @ an appropriate time! I have tried ALL the typical sleep enhancements (ie warm milk, hot baths, exercise, reading to her, cammomile tea, some hormone that I can't remember ETC.)! She is now on her second type of sleeping pill (prescribed by her shrink);and guess what? It does not work either. Some of the before mentioned items may work for your child, and may not .My faith is the only thing that has helped us, I truely do believe without it, we'd all be in the funny-farmKeep trying for yourself and for your kid's health. Good luck.
