: what does a test for ADD consist of? and what are they looking for that shows you have ADD?

When they use the tova test you sit in front of a computer type screen with a device in your hand to push when the red light shows in a certain portion of the screen. The upper right corner I think although I have never gotten to see the test. They don't let anyone watch when they test clients. At first the lights flash very slowly to see if you can stay focused enough to wait/watch for the red light to show where it is supposed to and click. The second portion of the test the red light flashes often to see if you can stay focused enough to pull "off the trigger" so to speak. You also answer a questonaire and the person doing the testing also talks with you. From this and other things they can fairly conclusively tell if you have ADD or if it is something else or if it is ADD with other problems etc.
