: I have just started concerta at 36 milligrams in the morning. Its doing ok, but the results are nowhere close to being as good as regula ritalin. I don't want to give up on this medication yet because its a once daily drug. How much time should I give it before raising the dosage or quiting it?

By "regular Ritalin," I'm assuming you don't mean Ritalin-SR. What was your dosage on Ritalin? According to our pediatrician, 18mg Concerta 1x per day is equivalent to 5mg Ritalin 3x per day. Perhaps your doc doesn't have you on a dosage equivalent to your old Ritalin dosage?
