: : : : My 15 year old son has been on Ritalin and other medications since he was five years old. We are already having problems this school year so the doctor has once again added a medication called Risperdal to take in conjunction with Ritalin. If anyone else has taken this medication or knows of anyone who has taken it for ADHD I would appreciate any information.

: : : My son is on Adderal. His neurologist has just recommended we add Resperdal to minimize impulsiveness. I am also seeking information. Have you tried it?
: : : We just got the medication yesterday with last night being our first dose. I don't know if it was just a fluke or not but this morning when he woke up he was wonderful, quiet, actually got dressed well in advance of needing to be at school. This afternoon he was back to his old behavior. I'll let you know how it goes!

: risperdal will cure anger and deppresion may be a cure for madness i have been well on risperdal and i feel like the buddha after respidal and yoga meditation
Is there a difference between risperdal and respidal? I have a student who has never been on meds and she is now on one of these drugs. Are they the same thing? The research I have found on RISPERDAL (an anti-psychotic drug) says it is not for children under 15 years of age (some sites say not under 18 years of age). My student is only going to be 9 years old this month. Internet searches cannot locate any drug called RESPIDAL, only RISPERDAL. I am trying to research the side effects. Thanks!
