ADHD can be caused by genetics, emotional or physical injury or nutrition.... or all the above. To see a great rap on the metabolic side of the situation, check .
is similar, in the US, but not so informaitve on their website.
Basically, they look at body fluids with photospectrometers and gas chromatographs and see what foods you can and can't metabolize.
: : aurora,
: : I can't speak too much regarding developing your music on or off medication (I've only been on ADD meds. for 2 weeks). But, I can relate to you; one of my hobbies is music. When the doctor was consulting me about the medication he told me not to take it while I'm playing the guitar, and I do agree with that.
: : However, music isn't all just feeling. To actually write a song takes a mix of organization and emotion. The organization part comes in when, depending on what kinda musician you are, you develop the foundation or structure of a song. I can forsee some of my difficulties being, the meds help me with the organization part BUT I can come up with some of the greatest material sober. I don't know if I can work this out, or yourself, but maybe it's possible to come up with a system where on meds we set the scene of the song, basically get the song ready for the creative part of us to come in and do our magic. Then, sometime later when we are off meds, come back and complete the song (or at least work on it - for me songs take months of finish. Then again, I didn't have meds. before)
: : Dunno how much that helped. I'm pretty new to the situation too, just, it's not a profession for me. (but i wish it was!!)
