In Reply to: Diabetic 20 yr old with ADD...HELP!!! posted by Linda ELLIS on December 01, 2000 at 00:59:58:

: My Type I diabetic daughter is back in intensive
: care again. 40 times in 5 years. ADD and diabetes are a terrible combination. She knows
: what to do....but cannot seem to do what is necessary to stay in control/balance. I am losing hope....I am afraid she is not going to make it. The Doctors and staff that understand
: diabetes do not seem to relate to how the ADD
: is at the heart of her failure to stay out of
: danger. Any help, suggestions, refereces out there? We live in Austin, Texas. Thank you.

List some of the things that are a major problem for you daughter in regards to her diabetes and I may be able to come up with a suggestion or two. Please be specific ie: forgets to test her blood sugar or forgets to take her insulin. Thanks
