: I have always been a straight A student (which just goes to show that ADD is NOT synonomous with stupid, as many people mistakenly believe) but I am not 19 and in college (going to school to be a Police Officer, no less) and I feel too old to be taking Ritalin. However, I am kind of...forgetful. Any suggestions? I am sick of taking prescription meds...I am looking for a vitamin supplement or maybe something herbal?
: Thanks in advance

Hi there I have a child who is hyperactive, I have found a very good health food stoe, and since cannot obtain Adderall here in Can. have gone the other way, as you know all these people are in a category of which they are lacking the three main essential amino acids, were born without these. and what one has to do is replace them and one cannot eat the quality that one needs. these are found in fish oils, the ones that a relevant are alpha omega , the other one that is also good is effalex. or a product called ADD for hyperactivity, I also give grape seed which is to cleanse the impurities. and high doses of vit c. The Adderall is good since it does not cause side effects, such as Ritalin. this causes loss of appetite. growth retardation. Adderall does not have to have lab works done on a routine basis for liver damage, and to keep up the continumim. I hope this answers your curiosity.Mary
