: A direct answer to your question is yes and no. ADHD may be genetic and it may be a result of environmental circumstances. You may have the hypothyroid but that does not preclude your also carrying the ADHD factors. The point is you can't rule out ADHD in your child just because the hypothyroid is proved for you.
